My Background
I’ve spent the past 25+ years building a career grounded in both academic excellence and real-world experience. I began my professional journey in engineering, earning a Bachelor's and Master’s degree in Civil and Geotechnical Engineering in Iran. After immigrating to Canada, I completed my MBA at Carleton University—finishing at the top of my class—and transitioned into financial services in 2007.
Since then, I’ve held leadership roles in business development, trained and mentored financial advisors, and helped build winning organizations. Today, I hold three professional designations:
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP®)
- Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU)
- Certified Health Insurance Specialist (CHS)
I also hold licenses in Life and Accident/Sickness Insurance, General Insurance, and Mutual Funds in Ontario.
Beyond client work, I teach financial planning and finance courses at Algonquin College, helping prepare the next generation of financial professionals. I’ve also developed educational materials for Moody’s Analytics and taught licensing courses for Advocis.
Industry Leadership
My involvement in the profession goes beyond the office. I’ve served in several leadership and volunteer roles over the years, including:
- President, Ottawa Chapter of Advocis (2016–2017) and member of the board (2013-2024)
- Member, Chapter Leadership Council (CLC) at the National Level (2019-2023)
- Former Board Member, GAMA Canada (2014–2018)
Advocis, The Financial Advisors Association of Canada, was founded in 1906 and is the largest voluntary professional membership association of financial advisors in the country. It is committed to raising the bar in the financial services industry through professional development, advocacy, and the promotion of ethical best practices.
GAMA International Canada is the professional association for leaders in the financial services industry, committed to developing current and future field leaders through leadership education and networking.

Beyond the Office
Originally from Iran, I’ve lived and worked in two countries and spent more than a decade leading international cultural tours for institutions like Harvard, Oxford, and the Smithsonian. Traveling to several dozen countries across continents has shaped my worldview, and my belief in lifelong learning and connection.
Today, I enjoy a quieter rhythm, spending time with my two children, staying active, and still exploring new cultures whenever I can.
